ZenFit Fusion™

ZenFit Fusion is a method and style that has been developed by KalyaaNa Spa & Wellness Retreat founder Karen Civello through years of experience and her training as a Master Personal Trainer, wellness consultant and counsellor. ZenFit Fusion is the Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates and functional fitness workout that builds flexibility, strength and mobility and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration, and a series of stretches, fluid movements and poses create a holistic workout to relax body and mind into a state of harmony, peace, balance and serenity unmatched. Each session is made up of 50 minutes of simple but challenging exercises, followed by 10 minutes of relaxation and mindful meditation. You will begin with simple, flowing Tai Chi moves to leave your day behind, centre yourself and warm your body. Your therapist will then take you through various functional fitness, yoga, and Pilates sequences to strengthen and tone your primary muscle groups. Poses and stretches are incorporated to create suppleness, flexibility and mobility. The final 10 minutes of ZenFit Fusion are set aside for the widely acknowledged psychological and physiological benefits of mindful meditation which also enhances the effects of the workout. Massage

Massage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy. The basic goal of massage at KalyaaNa Spa & Wellness Retreat is to help the body’s healing process. Massage is a systematic manual application of pressure and movement to the soft tissue of the body, the skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia (the membrane surrounding muscles and muscle groups). It encourages healing by promoting the flow of blood and lymph, relieving tension, stimulating nerves, and stretching and loosening muscles and connective tissue to keep them elastic. Massage helps get blood moving to assist the muscles to warm up and has been shown to reduce the build up of lactic and carbonic acid in muscles after exercise which helps to prevent cramping and discomfort.
